April 4-6, 2008. This conference, sponsored in part by the Dominican House of Studies, will investigate issues raised by a famous 20th Century theological debate between Erich Przywara, S.J. and the Protestant theologian Karl Barth. Is there any 'natural' knowledge of God available to the human person, apart from Christian revelation, or is all knowledge of God given to human beings uniquely in Christ? (link)

Labor Day Softball
(9/3/2007) For the second year in a row the friars of of the Dominican House of Studies hosted the students of the Marians of the Immaculate Conception for a friendly game of softball. These devotees of St. Faustina promised to "show no mercy" to the disciples of the Angelic Doctor. Yet, the friars remained convinced of the truth that their softball-playing potentiality could more fully come into act. Thus, by a score of 18 to 13, the Dominicans proved that, at least in the case of softball, truth does indeed trump mercy. (view pictures)
