Fr. Gabriel Gillen, O.P.

Fr. Kevin Gabriel Gillen, O.P., was ordained to the priesthood in 2000, Fr. Gillen joined the Order of Preachers in 2005 after earning degrees from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas, commonly known as the Angelicum, in Rome. Prior to answering the call to priesthood he worked several years as a stock broker on Wall Street. Fr. Gillen is currently assigned to Saint Joseph in Greenwich Village, New York City, where he serves to promote evangelization through media for the Province and hosts the weekly program “Word to Life” on The Catholic Channel, Sirius 159 and XM 117.

13 Novices Enter the Irish Province

Last week the Friars of the Irish Province joyfully celebrated the reception of thirteen new novices at a ceremony in the priory church of Saint Mary's, Popes Quay.

The novices are: Brothers Stephen Bartolome Cummins (Cork), Gary Mannes Burns (Sligo), David Joseph McGovern (Louth), Damian Pius Polly (Dublin), Ronan Bernard Connolly (Kildare), James John Cassidy (Antrim), Patrick Stephen Desmond (Cork), Stephen Jordan Jones (Trinidad), Darragh Ambrose McNally (Wicklow), Conor Benedict McDonough (Galway), Sean Augustine Oberc (Detroit, MI, and Kilkenny), Stephen Johannes Hackett (Cork) and Eoin Mary Casey (Laois).

Please pray for them and for all Dominican Friars in formation around the world.
