Annual Mass for Health Care Professionals
Interior of the Church of St. Catherine of Siena, NYC.

On Thursday, April 29, Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York will join the Dominican community at St. Catherine of Siena Church and Priory on its patronal feast to offer a special Mass in honor of "all men and women of the health professions who bring healing and hope to the sick and the dying."  The fourth annual Mass for Health Care Workers--held under the auspices of the Dominican Friars Health Care Ministry of New York of St. Catherine of Siena Priory--will begin at 12:00 Noon. Following Mass, the Very Rev. D. Dominic Izzo, O.P., Prior Provincial of the Province of St. Joseph, will present Archbishop Dolan with the Saint Catherine of Siena Medallion. For more details, please click here.  All are invited to attend.

The Dominican Friars Health Ministry of New York is highly regarded around the country for its pastoral care, educational programs, research and groundbreaking thinking on medical ethics and life issues. Please click here to visit the bioethics channel on Catholic Exchange where the friars regularly post reflections on critical issues.

Operating under the protection of St. Catherine--who is formally the patron saint of nurses--the Friars Health Care Ministry is committed to defending human dignity as it embodies Christ's healing ministry in service to health care professionals, patients, and their families. It offers consultations at some of New York's premier hospitals: the Hospital for Special Surgery, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center, and Rockefeller University Hospital.
