Come and See Weekend

A group of young women recently attended a "Come and See" weekend at Our Lady of Grace Monastery in North Guilford, CT.  Leading them in prayer and reflection over the course of the weekend program was Fr. Dominic Legge, O.P., who teaches theology at Providence College.  Please pray for the women who attended this retreat, that the Lord may make clear to them his will for their lives.

For over 800 years, the nuns of the Order have pursued Christian perfection in the way given them by Saint Dominic.  Their contemplative prayers and sacrifices continue to bear fruit for the Dominican apostolate by complementing the active preaching of the Friars. From the very beginning of the Dominican Order, the nuns have furnished "a living example of that reconciliation of all things in Christ which our brethren proclaim in their preaching of the word" (LCM 2.II).
