Fr. Gabriel Gillen, O.P.

Fr. Kevin Gabriel Gillen, O.P., was ordained to the priesthood in 2000, Fr. Gillen joined the Order of Preachers in 2005 after earning degrees from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas, commonly known as the Angelicum, in Rome. Prior to answering the call to priesthood he worked several years as a stock broker on Wall Street. Fr. Gillen is currently assigned to Saint Joseph in Greenwich Village, New York City, where he serves to promote evangelization through media for the Province and hosts the weekly program “Word to Life” on The Catholic Channel, Sirius 159 and XM 117.

Fr. Dominic Izzo, O.P., a Rhode Island native, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Providence College in 1988, after which he became a novice of The Dominican Friars Province of St. Joseph. He studied theology at the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.. Fr. Dominic spent about 7 years in Eastern Africa, where among other things, he served on the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors at Tangaza College, as well as Community Superior at the St. Dominic House in Kenya. Eventually, he became the Vicar Provincial there. In 2002, Fr. Dominic became the Prior Provincial of the Province of St. Joseph, as well as Chairman of the Corporation of Providence College.

After having served as Prior Provincial of the Province of St. Joseph for two terms, Fr. Dominic Izzo was recently named Director of the Dominican Foundation by the 2010 Provincial Chapter. Fr. Dominic will continue in this duty as he serves as a parochial vicar in residence here at the Church of St. Joseph.
