Holy Father Francis
In continuity with the storied tradition of the Dominicans and Franciscans preaching to each other on the feasts of our founding fathers, Fr. Christopher M. Saliga, O.P., has been invited to preach the Keynote Homily on the Feast of "Holy Father" St. Francis of Assisi (4 October 2010) at the Franciscan University of Steubenville where Friars of the Dominican Province of Saint Joseph, most notably Fr. Giles Dimock, O.P., have had a significant impact over the past twenty-five years. This particular event packs the Franciscan University Field House every year. Fr. Saliga is not only an alumnus, but also a past clinical instructor at the Franciscan University of Steubenville School of Nursing.  He has also returned on a few occasions to present on topics in bioethics in both the School of Nursing and the Bioethics Institute, Fr. Saliga is both excited and honored to return to share the fruits of his contemplation. As Dominicans, we address both Saint Dominic and Saint Francis as "Holy Father" within our respective Litanies of the Saints of our Orders.
