Promoting True Freedom at Life's End
Fr. Chris Saliga, O.P.

For the second year in a row, Fr. Chris Saliga, O.P., chaplain and adjunct bioethics lecturer at Walsh University in N. Canton, OH, has been invited to deliver a scholarly poster presentation at the annual meeting of Duke University's Society for Spirituality, Theology & Health (June 3-5). This year, the paper he will deliver is co-authored by three Walsh University students who, the Friar says, "distinguished themselves in my bioethics course this spring." They are: Jeremia Curtis, class of 2009, political science; Ellyn Mayher, class of 2012, biology; and Jeff Hover, class of 2009, biology. The poster is entitled "Autonomy, Freedom, and Rational Suicide: Human Flourishing with End of Life Contexts." To view an abstract of the paper, please click here and scroll to the bottom. For more information on the meeting, please click here.

Recently, Fr. Saliga, who is a columnist for the bioethics page on Catholic Exchange, also made presentations on bioethics at Weill Cornell College, Franciscan University, Columbia University and Quinipiac University.
