Pilgrimage in Honor of Our Lady & St. Dominic

Fr. George P. Schommer, O.P., will lead a 15-day pilgrimage---November 4-18, 2010---to the Marian and Dominican shrines of Spain, France, and Italy.

Designed especially for Lay Dominicans and friends of the Dominican Order, the pilgrimage will retrace the steps of some of the Church's great saints. Beginning in Madrid, the pilgrims will see some of the city's memorable attractions, such as the Campo del Moro, and celebrate Mass at the Cathedral Almudena. Other highlights of the journey include the Dominican Monastery of Caleruega, birthplace of St. Dominic; the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillars in Zaragoza; the chapel in Lourdes where St. Bernadette received her First Holy Communion; the castled city of Carcassonne; the Cathedral of Notre-Dame-des-Doms; Santa Maria Novella, the Dominican church in Florence; Siena; the Basilica of St. Dominic in Bologna, the churches of Rome; Santa Sabina, the worldwide headquarters of the Dominican Order in Rome; and a Papal Audience with our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI.
