Academic Press Fribourg has recently published a collection of essays that celebrates the life and work of Fr. Servais Pinckaers, O.P., the longtime professor of moral theology at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. The collection bears the name Renouveler toutes choses en Christ: Vers un renouveau thomiste de la théologie morale ("Renewing All Things in Christ: Toward a Thomistic Renewal of Moral Theology"). The title hints at the major role Fr. Pinckaers played after the Second Vatican Council in redeveloping Christian moral theology around the virtue ethics of St. Thomas Aquinas.
The list of contributors includes: Livio Melina; Servais Pinckaers, O.P.; Romanus Cessario, O.P.; Michael Sherwin, O.P.; Luc-Thomas Somme, O.P.; John Corbett, O.P.; Craig Steven Titus; Tobias Hoffmann; Paul Gondreau; William C. Mattison III; and Angela McKay.
