I was born and raised in the small town of St. Clairsville, Ohio. I am the youngest of three and have two older sisters. My father is a coal miner and my mother is lab technician at a local hospital. My oldest sister, Arica, is currently the Director of Marketing and Promotions for the Columbus Crew, a professional soccer team. My middle sister, Arin, is a 5th grade school teacher in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio.

I attended Catholic schools my entire life. When I was a junior in high school I began to discern a call to the priesthood. After graduating high school I entered into seminary for my local diocese, the Diocese of Steubenville. For seminary formation and education the diocese sent me to the Franciscan University of Steubenville and I lived at Holy Name House of Formation in Steubenville. I spent two years as a seminarian for the Diocese of Steubenville. After leaving this formation program I continued my studies at Franciscan University. In my junior year at Franciscan I was the Student Head of Liturgy Committee. This was an extremely fruitful experience for me. I had a privileged opportunity to work with the Friars, staff, and students at Franciscan in planning all of the liturgies and sacraments on campus. I was also in charge of planning all the liturgies during the summer conferences held at the university. It was a great joy for me to work for the university and for many visiting priest and bishops in the planning and execution of such a central part of our faith. I spent the fall semester of my senior year studying in Gaming, Austria. During this semester I had the opportunity to travel to Ireland, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Italy, and France. I also had the pleasure of spending a week volunteering in Lourdes. Also in my senior year I joined the household, Brothers of the Eternal Song. This past May I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Theology.

It was through my position with the liturgy committee that I met my first Dominican Friar. A Dominican priest led a retreat for Liturgy Committee. After this retreat I began spiritual director with a Dominican and learned much about the order and the Dominican spirituality. As I learned more and more about the Order, I realized that my desires for a vocation were in line with the Dominican Order and the Province of St. Joseph.

I am very excited about many aspects of the Dominican life but I am most excited about becoming a preacher who is centered on the Truth. I especially would like to be able to deepen others' faith and love in the liturgy and the sacraments. This is because the liturgy and the sacraments have been extremely instrumental in my faith. In my free time I enjoy playing and listening to music. I have also acquired a love traveling due to my semester abroad. Above all I enjoy spending time with my family and close friends.
