The Book of Revelation is often misrepresented particularly given the recent media frenzy surrounding ‘The Rapture.’ In light of this, Br. Leo Checkai, O.P., will offer an interpretation of the visions in the Book of Revelation through the wisdom of Old Testament teachings in a series of lectures at the Church of Saint Catherine of Siena in New York City. By looking at the links between Old and New Testaments Br. Leo will provide the vocabulary to better understand one of the most mysterious books in the Bible – the Book of Revelation. Br. Leo will look at the Old Testament visions and prophecies of great spiritual teachers like Daniel, the Angel Gabriel, Jesus and Joseph of Genesis and draws the links to the Book of Revelation.
The three-part series will be held on Wednesdays, June 29, July 6 and 13, 2011 from 6:30PM – 7:45PM at the Church of Saint Catherine of Siena in New York City (411 E. 68th Street New York, NY 10065). If you are interested in attending, please pre-register by calling Paul Zalonski at 212-988-8300 x183 or via email at sienaforum@gmail.com.
