Fr. Gabriel Gillen, O.P.

Fr. Kevin Gabriel Gillen, O.P., was ordained to the priesthood in 2000, Fr. Gillen joined the Order of Preachers in 2005 after earning degrees from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas, commonly known as the Angelicum, in Rome. Prior to answering the call to priesthood he worked several years as a stock broker on Wall Street. Fr. Gillen is currently assigned to Saint Joseph in Greenwich Village, New York City, where he serves to promote evangelization through media for the Province and hosts the weekly program “Word to Life” on The Catholic Channel, Sirius 159 and XM 117.

The Beauty of Angels

A talk by Fr. Basil Cole, O.P., and Dr. Jem Sullivan will be given on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 6:30 P.M. at the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center. Dr. Sullivan's book "Beauty of Faith: Using Christian Art to Spread the Good News" will be available for signing during the reception. This will also be your chance to see "Angels: A Celestial Visitation". The exhibit features the angel paintings of Patricia Montague Friend, based on models from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, but executed in her personal vision and exploring the variation of angelic forms in contemporary style.
