"Word to Life" - August 27, 2010
Fra Filippo Lippi's Madonna of Humility (Trivulzio Madonna): 1430: Castello Sforzesco, Milan.

Click above to hear this week's edition of "Word to Life." Joining me today to discuss the readings for the Twenty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time was my co-host, Fr. Bruno M. Shah, O.P.. Joining us by phone was Rev. Charles P. Connor, a noted theologian, Church historian, and author of such works as Classic Catholic Converts and Defenders of the Faith and The Saint for the Third Millennium: St. Thérèse of Lisieux. Widely known for his popular lecture series on EWTN, Father Connor teaches at Mount St. Mary's Seminary located in Emmitsburg, MD. For the third segment we were joined by Donna-Marie Cooper O'Boyle, author of "Mother Teresa and Me: Ten Years of Friendship" (Circle Press, 2009), who spoke bout her personal experiences with the saintly nun. Donna-Marie is a mother of 5 and is also a host on EWTN's "Everyday Blessings for Catholic Moms." She was also one of 260 women invited by Pontifical Council for the Laity to participate in an International Congress for women at the Vatican in early 2008.
