Unlike the other photographs, this one faces away from the church toward the parish and landscape. Our Lady Mother appears to be blessing the farmers and their fields. This fertile bottom land is no longer ours, but it is still used for either corn or soybean. These furrows, running in parallel curves, are all that remain of the summer's corn. The billboard on the left supports the Pro-Life Movement, with displays on both sides. Beyond the sycamore tree where the road disappears is the bridge over Cartwright Creek. The bottom land follows the edge of the creek. The farm houses on the ridge are on the Bardstown Road, Route 150, leading to Springfield two miles from Saint Rose.
