Spirits

Ethereal, intangible beings
Who are at His beck and call.
Mighty and valiant beings, you are so near to us.
Who are you spirits of the other regains?
Do you wish us good-fortune or ill?

We know you only when you wish to be known
And then only seemingly.
You are hidden to our eyes, ordinarily,
Working for us and with us as guardian you are.
Good Angel of mine,
Are you there 'midst trouble and joy
Among the good memories and the sad?
Ever lifting up and protecting,
Ever sharing and helping.

Kind Angel of mine, for mine you are,
You are a special Gift from God
To accompany me along my journey.
Gentle and courageous Spirit,
Be a bulwark against all that assails me in life
And guide me to my eternal home.
