Preacher's Resource
The SPR gives some suggestions for the doctrinal and pastoral focus of homilies, and offers general homiletic direction. It does not provide pre-fabricated homilies. Rather, the objective of the SPR is to furnish a source of rich ideas synthesized in such a way as to serve as a catalyst for effective preaching. At the same time, it makes available various pertinent quotations and references that can be included in homilies.
The Sunday Preaching Resource is organized according to seven categories:

- Patristic Commentary and Other Authorities
- Examples from the Saints and Other Exemplars
- Quotations from Pope Benedict XVI
- Other Considerations
Each week’s posting of the Sunday Preacher’s Resource concludes with a short list of recommended resources for the upcoming Sunday homily.

New Evangelization
On December 8, 2006, the Archdiocese of New York launched The
Catholic Channel on Sirius Radio, an international, satellite radio
network. Cardinal Egan has asked the Province of St. Joseph to host a
special program to be a regular weekly feature on The Catholic Channel,
Sirius 159. The show is called Word to Life.
