Preacher’s Resource

The Sunday Preacher’s Resource is a research tool designed to help the friars of the Province of Saint Joseph in the preparation of their Sunday homilies. It aims to provide some of the Scriptural and theological leg-work integral to great preaching in a concise and cogent way. At the same time, the SPR gives some suggestions for the doctrinal and pastoral focus of homilies, and offers general homiletic direction. It does not provide pre-fabricated homilies. Rather, the objective of the SPR is to furnish a source of rich ideas synthesized in such a way as to serve as a catalyst for effective preaching. At the same time, it makes available various pertinent quotations and references that can be included in homilies.
